BOA’s Moynihan Gets $20 Billion Warning Letter From Insurance Industry « Livinglies's Weblog - This is the telltale sign that the Banks have been defrauding us all along!

The failure of BOA and the other mega banks to come clean on this is what lies at the heart of our economic morass. It CAN be cleaned up and with some degree of fairness to ALL stakeholders — but not by bullying.

The only way this is going to get cleaned up is loan by loan settlements in which we do the best we can to provide the right incentives for all stakeholders to agree or be forced to comply with an equitable solution. Anything one-sided will not work.

Principal correction (that is what it is, not “reduction”) is the only impediment to getting this process rolling. Investors can strive for full par value with put-backs but we all know that the cases will be settled for less. Homeowners can strive for full ownership of their homes and that is exactly what will happen if the banks continue to insist on digging their heals in issues for which they have no legal support. Homeowners will leap at the chance to straighten this out WITH mortgages and enforceable notes and encumbrances, but only if the incentive is there for them to do so.

Call your representative and demand action against these illegal practices!

Barack "W" Obama seeks to expand arms exports by trimming approval process | McClatchy - I bet you didn't expect Obama to be the front man for the Military Industrial Complex!

The administration's stated reason for the changes is to simplify the sale of weapons to U.S. allies, but potential spinoffs include generating business for the U.S. defense industry, creating jobs and contributing to Obama's drive to double U.S. exports by 2015.

This is why we remain in Afghanistan and Iraq. Because our government is ruled by big business. The people need to stand up and take our rights back. Big business does not need help. Big banks do not need help. Try to get a loan for your house our your business. Good Luck!

Tom Andrews: from the HufPo - What's going on here? If a majority of US citizens don't want the war, why are our representatives voting to continue funding?

Yesterday the US House of Representatives failed to represent the majority of Americans who believe we should end the US led military occupation of Afghanistan and close the open ended military commitment to the second most corrupt government on earth. Instead, the US government will borrow an additional $33 billion to fuel the growing escalation of US military forces in the longest war in the history of the United States.

Americans, WAKE UP, are you all stupid morons? The very people that you voted for to represent you are not doing it. They are clearly listening to someone else. Throw the crooks out. Don't give them any more votes. Sure the WikiLeaks is more proof that the war is a big mistake, but really, did you need more evidence that it is a stuped, immoral war? We need to get out and get out now. Use the money we will save to help the many people in the US that need it. Funding this war only puts money in the pockets of the Big Businesses that profit from the expenditure of our tax dollars on their products. No wonder so many people around the world think the US is crazy. We are acting that way.

Leaks create fresh doubt about Afghan war, secrets - Yahoo! News

WASHINGTON – The monumental leak of classified Afghan war documents threatened Monday to create deeper doubts about the war at home, cause new friction with Pakistan over allegations about its spy agency and raise questions around the world about Washington's own ability to protect military secrets.

The White House called the disclosures "alarming."

The torrent of more than 91,000 secret documents, one of the largest unauthorized disclosures in military history, sent the Obama administration scrambling to assess and repair any damage to the war effort, either abroad or in the U.S. The material could reinforce the view put forth by the war's opponents in Congress that one of the nation's longest conflicts is hopelessly stalemated.

The leaks come at a time when President Barack Obama's Afghanistan war strategy is under congressional scrutiny and with polls finding that a majority of Americans no longer think the war there is worth fighting. Still, the leaks are not expected to prevent passage of a $60 billion war funding bill. Despite strong opposition among liberals who see Afghanistan as an unwinnable quagmire, House Democrats must either approve the bill before leaving at the end of this week for a six-week vacation, or commit political suicide by leaving troops in the lurch in war zones overseas.

Does anyone believe that there is a good reason to be in Afghanistan? Does anyone know what our mission and expected outcome of this war is? Does anyone know the timetable for this plan? If so, please speak up. It's a mystery to me and I am amazed that the government and the citizens of this country continue to support the Billions and even Trillion of dollars being spent for NO GOOD REASON. STOP THE WAR NOW. BRING OUR CITIZENS HOME. LEAVE AFGHANISTAN TO DEAL WITH IT'S OWN PROBLEMS.
